Ray Bruegman started his career in engineering for Black & Veatch Engineers-Architects after graduating from Southeast Community College in 1983. Starting in 1985 as project manager for Miller Electric Company in design and estimating he successfully managed many industrial and commercial projects. Ray was instrumental in the development of the company’s initial Safety & Health and Affirmative Action programs. He serves on the NECA/IBEW Apprenticeship Training Committee. Ray served as Executive Vice President for Miller Electric Company since 1998 before taking over the helm as President in 2008.

A network specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the low voltage (LV) industry, Tom Parks is a Vice President and Manager of Miller Electric’s Low Voltage department, where he’s responsible for the quality assurance and business standards for all design, estimating and management services. Prior to joining Miller Electric Company in 1991, Tom worked in the telecommunications industry for three years. His extensive experience and business background were instrumental in the development of the company’s network and low voltage services, which today employs more than 50 LV craftsmen.
Tom has served as the company’s Secretary for more than 15 years and is also an officer of the company. He is a graduate of the American Institute of Business, and serves on the Low Voltage Apprenticeship Committee.

A member of the Miller team for more than a decade, Jason Tagge is a Executive Vice President (EVP) in the company’s electrical department, where he oversees day-to-day project workflow. Throughout his 16 years in the industry, Jason has worked on all types of projects—from INVESCO Field at Mile High stadium, home of the Denver Broncos, to multi-story corporate headquarter buildings—giving him well-rounded experience in the field. Prior to joining Miller Electric Company, Jason worked as a project manager for Dynalectric, a subsidiary company of the EMCORP Group, one of the largest subcontractors in the world. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

As a project manager/estimator for Miller Electric, it’s Jeff Boots’ job to manage the materials, labor, budget and contracts for Miller Electric projects. Jeff knows that if he keeps projects lean and efficient, the result will be a job done right the first time, on time and within budget. He keeps a close watch on the details of every project he manages so that Miller Electric can maintain its reputation for delivering the highest quality electrical contracting work in Nebraska. Prior to joining Miller Electric, Jeff worked as a project manager for Integrity Electric and ran his own light commercial/residential electrical business, Boots Electric. When he’s not working, Jeff enjoys teaching electrical apprenticeship as an Adjunct Electrical Instructor for Metro Community College.

As an Assistant Project Manager for Miller Electric, Kelvin Brandt performs a variety of duties including managing construction documentation, ordering equipment and assisting Project Managers in many different ways. Kelvin also helps Miller Electric recruit employees through his established relationships with the University of Nebraska’s College of Engineering. Prior to joining Miller Electric in 2014, Kelvin installed underground storage tanks, manholes and fire hydrants as a laborer for Heimes Corp. and worked as an intern for Midwest Demolition Company and The Southwestern Company. Kelvin’s broad experience and attention to detail make him a natural fit for Miller Electric’s team and culture.

As Chief Estimator for Miller Electric, Richard Evans oversees the assigning of all estimating duties and coordination between estimators, PM’s, BIM/design, and low voltage services for multi-service integrated projects. Rick was heavily recruited to Miller Electric for his experience and proven accuracy in electrical estimating. He has been in the industry since 1981, and with the exception of four years of project management, has focused exclusively on electrical estimation.

A project manager in Miller Electric’s Low Voltage department, Adam Goodwin oversees various low voltage jobs throughout the project lifecycle—including one of the largest security projects in Nebraska to date. Whether he’s bidding on a project or working with a team of technicians, Adam enjoys the diverse set of responsibilities that come with each type of job. Prior to joining Miller Electric in 2007, Adam worked as a project manager for Alvine Engineering, where he gained a firm understanding of the design side of the construction business. At Anixter International, a distributor of voice and data solutions, he honed his customer service skills working in inside and outside sales. Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Villanova University.

As a RCDD in Miller Electric’s Low Voltage Department, Dan Henk oversees the estimating process for a variety of low voltage jobs. Since joining Miller Electric in 2003, Dan has managed the low voltage inventory warehouse and worked on a range of successful projects, from data centers to multi-story commercial buildings. Competitive by nature, Dan enjoys the quick thinking and problem solving that’s required in the electrical construction field.

As a BIM General Manager for Miller Electric, Bryan Horton leads Miller’s BIM staff in improving project outcomes by coordinating and pre-planning electrical layouts, collaborating with project managers to design projects most efficiently and working with owners, general contractors and other trades to ensure all building system models are collision-free prior to construction. Bryan came to Miller Electric in 2012 after spending 10 years in HDR’s electrical department designing CAD layouts, performing modeling and providing CAD software support for healthcare projects.
Bryan holds an associates degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Southeast Community College.

As an estimator for Miller Electric, Ben Jones collaborates with other project managers and field supervisors to design, layout, and model electrical systems. A specialist in BIM/CAD development, Ben coordinates with other construction trades to ensure all building system models are collision-free prior to construction and leads efforts to implement robotic total stations for field layout. Prior to joining Miller Electric, Ben worked in IT management, providing tech support and training for a staff of more than 300 employees. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. When he’s not working, he enjoys computer programming and gaming.

A Sr. Project Manager at Miller Electric, Roger Knobbe supervises a variety of electrical projects and accounts at the company. In addition to solid project management skills, Roger brings extensive experience working on both the construction and consulting side of the business. Prior to joining Miller Electric in 2006, Roger worked as an electrical engineer for HDR and Farris Engineering. This well-rounded experience allows him to approach the job site with a balanced perspective and an open mind, helping ensure optimal project outcomes. Roger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nebraska Omaha/Lincoln and maintains his Professional Electrical Engineering and Journeyman Electrician licensure within the state of Nebraska.

Ron Kohlmeier is a Vice President – Sr. Project Manager and Professional Engineer (PE) who brings valuable architectural design and building construction experience to the table. Throughout his 15 years working on the Miller Electric team, Ron has managed all types of noteworthy electrical projects, from commercial buildings to well-trafficked entertainment venues. His favorites, though, are the ones that prove to be most challenging. A numbers person since his teenage years, Ron’s love of math led him to study engineering in college. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. Before he joined Miller Electric, Ron worked as an electrical engineer for internationally renowned architecture firm LEO A DALY.

A licensed electrical contractor with more than 23 years of experience in the field, Larry Lange is responsible for overseeing electrical projects at Miller Electric. As a Project Manager, Larry primarily handles jobs in healthcare, but also dedicates his time to helping customers with day-to-day electrical needs. Prior to joining Miller Electric in 2003, Larry managed his own electrical contracting business, where he gained an interest and appreciation for design-build work. Larry started his career in the electrical industry the day after he graduated high school, and has been devoted to the field ever since.

A Sr. Project Manager at Miller Electric, Craig Langfeldt is primarily responsible for managing electrical projects at the company. His role as Sr. Project Manager includes estimating, planning, and monitoring all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. Craig joined Miller Electric as a project manager in 2006. Two years later, he earned his current title as a result of the notable contributions he made on one of the company’s most high-profile data center jobs—one in which he oversaw and coordinated the work of roughly 130 electricians. Prior to his Miller career, Craig worked as a project manager for Commonwealth Electric. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Business from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

As an Electrical Risk Consultant for Miller Electric, it’s Jeremy Overman’s job to protect commercial and industrial facilities from the disastrous effects of electrical system failure. Jeremy knows that if operations shut down because of an electrical failure, businesses and properties will feel the effects in lost revenue, forgone productivity, and customer dissatisfaction. He helps Miller’s clients protect their businesses and properties with proactive, predictive maintenance plans and TEGG-backed warranties. David Peterson is a Sr. Project Manager on the electrical team at Miller Electric. Since first joining the company as a CAD technician in 2006, the scope and range of his work has grown to include some of Miller’s largest electrical projects to date. In addition to his extensive project management experience on the job, David has a robust educational background in electrical construction. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Architectural Engineering from the University of Nebraska, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Math and Physics from Doane College. A LEED Accredited Professional (AP) and holds a professional engineering license in the state of Nebraska. David enjoys the detail-oriented nature of construction and electrical work.

Brian Reiling is a Project Manager with more than 25 years in the low voltage industry. Whether he’s working on an ongoing construction job or providing day-to-day customer support, Brian enjoys the multi-faceted nature of project management, as well as learning about the latest technologies on the market. Before joining Miller Electric in 2010, Brian held positions at Cable Guys and Fiber Optic Technologies, where he gained the majority of his expertise working directly in the field.

As a project manager for Miller Electric, Dan Wiek performs a variety of duties including coordinating project work with other subcontractors, ordering equipment, and ensuring that it arrives in time to meet installation deadlines. Prior to joining Miller Electric, Dan ran his own construction business for more than a decade. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. When he’s not working, Dan enjoys mountain biking, hockey, watching dirt track racing, snowmobiling, and building things.

As Field Superintendent for Miller Electric, it’s Mike Anderson’s job to ensure all projects are completed on schedule and to clients’ satisfaction. Mike supervises between 50-70 technicians and is responsible for all aspects of hiring, training and day-to-day manpower procurement. Mike joined Miller Electric in 2000 as an experienced voice, data, and network technician for Miller’s Integrated Systems division. His training and field experience began during his tenure in the United States Marine Corps where he successfully completed Communications Electronics School and worked as a wireman and field operator.
Mike joined the IBEW in Omaha as a technician in 1998 where he earned his BICSI training and worked as a Union Technician. His installation certifications include; Systimax, Panduit, Leviton, Hubbell, AMP, Fluke, and BICSI Technician levels 1, 2 & 3.

As Field Operations Manager for Miller Electric, Adam Elsasser assembles safe, productive and knowledgeable teams for Miller’s projects. He works with project managers to make sure every team finishes projects on time and within budget. Adam grooms future leaders for Miller Electric by identifying employees’ strengths and assigning them to projects that will maximize their exposure to all types of construction and help them grow. His extensive knowledge of office building systems, security and fire alarm systems and experience leading crews of 25+ people helps him deliver value on every job. Adam joined Miller Electric in 1999 and has supervised numerous large-scale projects for Miller Electric. He leads Miller’s Foreman Peer Group, serves on its Safety and Tool Committees, and is a Foreman Training instructor.

Kaleb is a highly qualified and motivated electrician with over 13 years of experience. Kaleb is certified in infrared technology and power quality analysis. Kaleb came to Miller his first year as an apprentice and has worked in our service department since 2003. Kaleb is a self-starter, follows directions and gets the job done right the first time. He is adept in identifying and addressing customer needs and expectations and is proven in troubleshooting and identifying future problems. He is a graduate of the OJEATC apprenticeship program and TEGG Corporation.

As the Custom Commercial Operations Manager for Miller Electric, Charlie Graeve heads up Miller’s mobile, flexible special projects service, planning and overseeing small new construction projects, interior remodels, lighting upgrades, generator installs, small to medium sized service change outs, and light commercial work. Charlie also prospects for new Custom Commercial clients. He has been with Miller Electric since 1998, when he joined the team as an apprentice. Over the years Charlie worked as a Journeyman wireman, Foreman and General Foreman before being named Custom Commercial Operations Manager in 2015. He carries Nebraska and Iowa Journeyman Electrician licenses, an OSHA 10 hour card and rigging and crane signaling certifications. Charlie’s innovative problem solving ability and commitment to customer service make him a natural fit for Miller Electric’s Custom Commercial team.

As TEGG General Manager for Miller Electric, Kurt Hamilton is responsible for project managing, estimating, engineering and billing for a large variety of projects. He works to ensure that Miller Electric delivers superior results and service to every customer on every project. Kurt came to work for Miller Electric in 1986 after a stint as an apprentice electrician elsewhere in the Omaha area. During his nearly 30 years with Miller Electric, Kurt has worked as an electrician, in the service department and as an instructor in the Electrical Training Center. He is a graduate of the OJEATC apprenticeship program and is a certified Electrical instructor.

Prefabrication Operations Manager

As Prefab Operations Manager for Miller Electric, Chris Nightser oversees the growth and daily operation of Miller Electric’s Prefabrication Shop, which has tripled in size under Chris’ leadership. Chris is also responsible for maintaining Miller’s UL listing E466157 for Wiring Assemblies and Data Center floor whips.
Miller is currently the only contractor in the metro area to have this listing with UL.
Prior to joining Miller Electric in 2003, Chris worked in manufacturing and logistics. In addition to five years of experience working in Miller’s Service Department, Chris holds certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Behavior and the Five S’s (Sort-Simplify/Straighten-Sweep/Shine-Standardize-Sustain). Prior to joining Miller Electric, Chris participated in the OJEATC Apprenticeship Program, and has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Iowa Western Community College. He graduated with Highest Honors and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honors Society.

As Service Manager for Miller Electric, it’s Steve Schneiderwind’s job to ensure customers’ expectations are met on every service call. Steve supervises over 20 servicemen and is responsible for a variety of duties including fielding customer calls and providing solutions to their needs, coordinating estimates and scheduling with project managers, procuring material and equipment, and ensuring Miller Electric’s safety program is followed by all service drivers. Steve joined Miller Electric in 1986 as an electrician and began working in the service department in 1991. Steve’s innate ability to multi-task along with his considerable field and office experience ensure every service call is answered quickly and completely.
